Hamas also rejected the terms outlined in the speech, calling them 'empty of concrete significance.'
Israel, meanwhile, announced the approval Thursday of new projects to build 1,500 housing units in Har Homa and Pisgat Zeev, which are outside the 1967 borders. The projects had previously received initial approval, said Roye Lackmanovich, an Interior Ministry spokesman."
AharonMoshe Says: Its hard to reconcile the solid knowledge one would obtain simply by visiting this tiny country who's the length of it can be driven in a day. The Golan Heights are the highlands in the north. You don't need to be a rocket scientist (please excuse the deliberate pun) to figure out that if Israel allowed her enemies to occupy the higher ground in the Golan Heights, then Israel would never be at peace.
The CNN author in this story brings down his inferences like: " Netanyahu, considered hawkish on security matters" and then siting a housing project outside of the 1967 borders (as if these "borders" were somehow made real by US President Obama's statements, clearly reveals the media once again attempting to make Israel appear unfriendly, unfair and uncooperative.
However the reality of the situation is that, Israel is now fighting a war of the spoken word, and it's endless reverberations, throughout the media. The big negotiating chip which the US is dangling in front of Israel is, aid in somehow overcoming the threat of a nuclear Iran.
Well here is an interesting thought. The US, as well as the the entire free world, can not afford to allow Israel to become a vassal state. The cost of a week Israel subjugated before it's enemies is that the entire world would now be much more exposed to the threat imposed by the oil wealthy Arab nations having free reign in the mideast and in less than a decade, will have us all as their "loyal subjects.
