Avery Furniture | timber Varieties: "Mahogany has a very distinct deep red colour and beautiful grain patterns. Widely used for fine furniture over the centuries Brazilian Mahogany has now all but become extinct. It can now really only be sourced as reclaimed timber. There are African substitutes but they are softer than Brazilian Mahogany making them more difficult to carve fine detail."
